Louis is one of the main reasons I can now confidently train in the gym on my own and enjoy it. I am able to create workouts and circuits without feeling the need for somebody to tell me what to do.
I have learnt a huge amount about which exercises affect which parts of my body, how many reps to do and which super sets can be most effective. I also now know how to train with heavier weights, which I had never done before.
Louis has had a huge affect on my weight loss and I will always trust and listen to him when it comes to health and fitness!
Recently I booked a personal training session with Louis Dutch in MK and I wanted you to have some feedback.
Louis spent time talking about eating and exercise habits (good and bad) plus my lifestyle before embarking on the session a few days later. I explained what I wanted to achieve and following his instructions did exactly that. I have learned from the session and continue to put it into practice what I have been taught, while enjoying the results.
He spent more time with me than I had booked and was in no hurry to leave. When he sees me in the gym, he says hi and provides guidance when I am doing things incorrectly.
Before I started training at the gym with Louis, I thought the best method was cardiovascular training for weight loss. However, that soon changed when I started my personal training sessions with him. From the start to the end of my gym sessions with Louis, I have definitely seen an improvement in my physical appearance. Even more so work colleagues and family members have commented that I have lost weight!
He advised me the types of foods I should be eating to aid in my weight loss, as well as the different exercises that I should be performing. Louis incorporated using different weights and weight apparatus to tone my arms, as well as to firm my lower and upper body.
From as long as I can remember, I found it hard to lose fat from my lower back. I can honestly say by using Louis' techniques, my lower back and arms are more toned, I have lost weight and that has been what I have found to be most rewarding!
I signed up to some personal trainer sessions with Louis after finding doing the same thing in the gym every week just wasn't getting the results I wanted. After a thorough consultation about what I wanted to achieve and also nutrition and lifestyle, I came away feeling motivated and with some changes to put in place outside of the gym which have really helped my fitness and physical well-being.
The first few sessions left me aching all over - proof that it was doing some good! Now look forward to the hour long sessions every week as I'm never sure what to expect. Louis likes to mix it up and keeps it interesting so two sessions are never the same.
Louis is very knowledgable about which exercises benefit which areas, and I found my core and balance much improved after just a few sessions. He is also very good at judging when to push you when you need to be pushed, and also letting you relax and stretch when you geniuinely can't do any more!
I would highly recommend some PT sessions with Louis to get the results you want in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere which makes it feel less like hard work. As well as your body you will also improve your knowledge and find yourself putting into place practices that improve your whole lifestyle not just your physique.
Louis makes training fun! After a long break from the gym, my confidence was a tad broken, both in myself and my ability at the gym. When I went back to the gym it was just a boring place and I didn't really know what I was doing. I struggled to stick with it and found myself yoyo'in not only physically but also emotionally. I tried a few other PT's but it just didn't click (one tried to make me run on a treadmill for half hour! Boring and lazy on their part!)
Then I found Louis. He is an "enabler". By that I mean, he trains you great and teaches you at the same time, not just about the gym but food, stress and lifestyle too. One time I came to session literally on the brink of tears, I was so stressed out. Louis noticed this and so our workout that day consisted of stress reducing techniques like yoga and stretching. When I'm bouncing off the walls he gets me lifting weights I never thought I could. This in turn builds your confidence and step by step you get there.
He enables you to be yourself, goof around but work hard and make smart choices on the route to your goals. And he makes training super fun along the way with workouts that you don't even realise are workouts! My own journey is not complete yet, but already I've noticed that I'm not as bloated or as tired all the time. I feel stronger and I know soon I'll get that 100kg squat because Louis made me believe that I can. I always look forward to our training sessions and I really cannot recommend him highly enough!

There are plenty of benefits. Mainly what I see you are able to recognise what I enjoy without saying that. I see you know what you're doing which is very important to me, as, let's be straight, I pay for it and I like to pay for quality only. What I mainly like? You don't give a shit if I'm tired or exhausted! haha
I've changed, when I go to gym on my own I do proper stuff and not ruining myself, when we trained regularly I saw clear change on my body and basically the best change is I like to go back and have another lesson.
Working as a software developer is not great for the body. I spend most of the day sat in front of a computer and decided last year that I wanted to get myself into better physical shape.
I have been a member of a gym for some time but I have never managed to achieve the body and fitness-level that I really want to have and so I decided to take some personal training lessons with Louis.
After a comprehensive discussion of what I wanted to achieve I signed up for on-going weekly sessions of 1 hour with Louis. From the very first session I realised that this was going to be very different from any training that I had done before.
Louis is clearly very experienced and has an enormous array of techniques many of which, for my personal requirements, are based around core-strength, balance and flexibility. The exercises often seem to work my entire body in a way that makes me regret the countless hours I have spent previously following the same types of routine workouts. Whilst I have found it hard at times, Louis manages the pace very well and is totally focused on my personal experience and progress. His obvious love for what he does is addictive, it makes me want to improve and I know that I am in good hands.
Two months in and I am both seeing and feeling the benefits. Louis keeps pushing me a little further and is constantly introducing me to novel techniques from his seemingly limitless repertoire.
I genuinely can’t recommend Louis highly enough. He has the skill and encouragement that we all need from a trainer but for me at least, it is the variety that really makes our sessions work.
It’s been tough but great fun and the results have been faster than I expected. I look forward to continuing our work together long into 2013.
